French Breakfast Muffins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Shortening
  • 1 1/2 cups Sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 Tbsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
  • 4 1/2 cups Flour
  • 1 1/2 cups Milk

Topping

  • 1/2 cup Oleo (Melted)
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon 

Directions

  1. Mix shortening, sugar and eggs well.
  2. Add baking powder, salt and nutmeg.
  3. Stir in flour alternately with milk and mix well.
  4. Fill muffin tins 2/3 full.
  5. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.
  6. Leave in pan for a few minutes before removing.
  7. Dip in melted Oleo, followed by Cinnamon and Sugar.

Serve Warm. Mmmm!
