Recipe of the Week - French Breakfast Muffins

French Breakfast Muffins
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Shortening
- 1 1/2 cups Sugar
- 3 Eggs
- 1 1/2 Tbsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 Tbsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
- 4 1/2 cups Flour
- 1 1/2 cups Milk
Topping
- 1/2 cup Oleo (Melted)
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
Directions
- Mix shortening, sugar and eggs well.
- Add baking powder, salt and nutmeg.
- Stir in flour alternately with milk and mix well.
- Fill muffin tins 2/3 full.
- Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.
- Leave in pan for a few minutes before removing.
- Dip in melted Oleo, followed by Cinnamon and Sugar.
Serve Warm. Mmmm!
