Recipe of the Week- Bar-B-Q Burgers

Ingredients:

Sauce:

1 cup Ketchup

3/4 cup Brown Sugar

1/3 cup Honey

2 tsp Mustard

1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce

1/4 tsp Salt

1 tsp Liquid Smoke

1/2 tsp Black Pepper

Hamburgers:

1 Egg, beaten

1/3 cup Oatmeal

1/4 tsp Onion Salt

1/4 tsp Garlic Salt

1/4 Salt

1/2 tsp Black Pepper

1 1/2 lb Ground Beef

Instructions:

Sauce: Combine sauce ingredients and bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Set aside one cup to serve with burgers.

Hamburgers: In a bowl, combine the egg, oatmeal, 1/4 cup of remaining BBQ sauce, onion salt, garlic salt, pepper, and salt. Add hamburger meat and mix well. Shape into 6-8 patties. Grill on broil, covered 6-8 minutes on each side, basting with BBQ sauce during last 5 minutes. Serve on buns with toppings of your choice and reserved BBQ sauce.
