Recipe of the Week - Cake Mix Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tbs instant yeast
  • 1 package white cake mix
  • 4 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 tbs cinnamon

Directions

In large bowl combine yeast, cake mix and 2 cups flour. Add oil and water. Beat until smooth. Add the remaining flour 1/2 cup at a time, kneading until smooth and elastic. Place dough in oiled bowl, turning to coat. Cover and let rise in warm place til double in bulk. Punch down and roll out to 1/2" thickness. Spread with butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll up and cut into 1'' slices. Place in greased baking pans. Let rise till doubled. Bake @ 375º F for 18-20 minutes.
